Woodland is offering an APPOINTMENT ONLY Sunday 1pm Introductory Lesson for those kids who are interested in Summer Camp.

Cost is $20 per rider Lesson begins at 1pm. (Please arrive by 12:30pm to check in with us at the office)

2024 CAMP COST:

1-WEEK SESSION COST: $685

CAMP WEEK SCHEDULE:

Week 1: June 17 – June 21

Week 2: June 24 - 28

Week 3: July 1 – 5 (4th of July, 9am-1pm, BEFORECARE AVAILABLE BUT NO AFTERCARE)

Week 4:  July 8 - 12

Week 5: July 15 - 19

Week 6: July 22 - 26

Week 7: July 29 – August 2

Week 8: August 5 - 9

Week 9: August 12 - 16  

 EXTENDED CARE

Camp will end at 3pm. From 3pm - 6pm, each hour will have a different horse-related activity for the campers to learn from and enjoy.

EXTENDEDCARE COST for 1-week:

  • $75 for 1 hour per week

  • $150 for 2 hours per week

  • $225 for 3 hours per week

Extended Care Hours are:

  • 8am-9am

  • 3pm-4pm: relaxing time w horses

  • 4pm-5pm: unmounted horse games

  • 5pm-6pm: horse craft time

DAILY CAMP SCHEDULE

Many parents ask what a day in the life of Pony Pal Camp is like:

8am - 9am: Extended Care

9am - 9:30am: Roll Call and Getting to Know You

9:30am - 10:00am: Grooming and Tacking

BATHROOM BREAK

NOTE: Campers will be divided into 3 groups by skill set. The other groups will have un-mounted horse education activities. For example: horse colors, breeds, anatomy, nutrition & health care AND SO MUCH MORE. We have great arts & craft activities too!

There will be bathroom breaks and handwashing between lessons and other activities.

10:15am - 11:00am: Round 1 of Group lesson or un-mounted horse education

SNACK & BATHROOM BREAK

11:15am - 12:00pm: Round 2 of Group lesson or un-mounted horse education

12:00pm - 12:45: Round 3 of Group lesson or un-mounted horse education

LUNCH & BATHROOM BREAK. The campers will also have time to visit the Tack Shop for treats

2:00pm - 3:00pm: Mounted & un-mounted activities. For example: bareback lesson, western lesson, tacking relay races, water games and so much more

3pm - 6pm: Extended Care

NOTE: All camp activities are supervised 100% of the time by Woodland instructors and trained camp staff.

—Camp Policies and Requirements—

The following information applies to all Woodland camps, regardless of season or type.

PAYMENT: A deposit of one-half of the total amount for your first session is due at time of registration. Balances are due one week prior to the first day the camp session.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Registration forms must be received no later than 1 week prior to the first day of your first camp session.

CONFIRMATIONS: Confirmations are sent via email. If you do not get confirmation within 10 days of sending your application, call 301-421-9156 or email woodlandhorsecentercamp@gmail.com

DEPOSIT: A DEPOSIT OF ONE-HALF OF THE TOTAL AMOUNT IS DUE AT TIME OF REGISTRATION TO SECURE & GUARENTEE YOUR SPOT(s)

REFUND POLICY:   A $25 ADMINISTRATIVE FEE FOR ANY CHANGES. REFUND OF DEPOSIT WILL BE REFUNDED ONLY IF SPACE CAN BE FILLED, THANK YOU

CAMP BALANCES: ARE DUE ONE (1) WEEKS PRIOR TO THE FIRST DAY OF CAMP.

FOOD: Campers must bring their own lunch to enjoy in our shaded picnic area or air-conditioned lounge. We do have a refrigerator, but we suggest bringing lunch, drinks, and snacks in a small cooler labeled with your name. We have vending machines for soda, water, and energy drinks; beverages and snacks may also be purchased at Woodland’s onsite tack shop, Anytime Tack.

DRESS: Campers must have their own helmets and wear long pants and hard-soled boots with a small heel. Anytime Tack has everything you will need.
